PBL Foreign Language (Project Based Learning)

  • American Sign Language with Leisa Gustafson, Kentwood

    Students will gain an understanding of ASL, its vocabulary, grammar, physiology and culture. Students will be required to give their personal testimony in ASL by the year's end.  Text: A Basic Course in American Sign Language.   • Classical Conversations Challenge A Latin Studies in NE Grand Rapids.  Students start at the beginning of Henle First Year Latin. Class begins with a review of an English grammar concept, and then students discover how that concept is treated in Latin. Students gain skills for learning any language through this systematic approach. For ages 12 and up. Contact Mary Williams for info and registration at mary.baker4@comcast.net or call 616-430-2487. Hamilton will pay full tuition for this class. Family is responsible for registration fee. 

  • Lingual Learners in Grand Rapids offers homeschool Spanish immersion classes. Hamilton can pay all or most of the tuition for the classes that run from September to early May. Register online and a $25 registration fee is needed to secure a spot.  Click on the Lingual Learners link for more information.  

  • Lingua China in Grand Rapids offers homeschool Chinese immersion classes. Hamilton can pay all of most of the tuition for the classes that run from September through May.   • PTC Spanish, Parent Teacher Coop in Byron Center.  Hamilton will pay for the class and copy fee, we can not purchase any books.
