Bentheim Elementary students celebrated the success of their annual Hawk Walk fundraiser on Friday, October 2 with an ice cream-themed popper for every student, a schoolwide ice cream party, and a special reward for Principal Jared Randall.

The highest fundraisers from each classroom earned the opportunity to turn Mr. Randall into a human sundae. They covered him with cherries, chocolate syrup, Fruity Pebbles, marshmallows, caramel syrup, Oreos, mini peanut butter cups, strawberry syrup, peanuts, and whipped cream.

To help Mr. Randall "clean up," three students were also selected to dump cold water on him—making for plenty of laughs and unforgettable memories for Bentheim students.

“Each year, our Bentheim students and community exceed our expectations with the Hawk Walk Fundraiser, and our wonderful Bentheim PTO continues to come up with unique rewards for our students,” Randall said. “Getting turned into a human sundae is well worth it to see the kids laughing, smiling, and having fun. Plus, it helps our PTO support Bentheim staff and students throughout the year.”

Thank you to the community sponsors, everyone who donated, the hardworking students and staff, and the Bentheim PTO for making this year’s Hawk Walk fundraiser such a success!
