Both the Honors Choir and Women’s Chorale earn Division I ratings

The Hamilton High School Vocal Music Department is having a historic year!

On Wednesday, February 21, both the Hamilton High School Honors Choir and Women’s Chorale earned Division I “Excellent” ratings and qualified for the State Choral Festival, receiving many commendations from the judges.

This marks only the sixth time in district history that both choirs have qualified in the same year. The previous years were 2010, 2012, 2017, 2018 and 2020.

“All of these students worked VERY hard to earn this, and I am very proud of each of them,” Vocal Music teacher Holly Israels said.

Way to go, Hawkeyes!
