Hamilton Community Schools welcomed thousands of students, families, staff and community members for the sixth annual Hawkeye Hometown Tailgate on Friday, September 18.
Held at Hamilton Middle School and Cultivate Community Church, the annual event once again brought the Hawkeye community together for an evening of free food, activities, entertainment and school spirit before the varsity football game.
More than 3,100 people were served food throughout the evening, while families enjoyed activities including a petting zoo, laser tag, rock climbing walls, mini golf, live music and more.
The Tailgate is made possible each year through the support of local businesses, organizations, volunteers and community partners. This year's event featured 47 sponsors who helped Hamilton Community Schools continue to offer the event free of charge to the community.
The evening concluded under the lights at Hamilton High School, where the Hawkeyes defeated Spring Lake, 28-7, to cap off a memorable night.
