The Hamilton High School band earned an overall Division 1 rating at this year’s Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) festival, hosted by West Ottawa High School. The achievement marks the 10th consecutive year the band has received an overall Division 1 rating—and the sixth year in a row it has earned straight 1s, receiving the top rating from every judge.

“Putting together a performance like this takes an awful lot of hard work by these kids,” said Joe Herrick, Hamilton’s director of bands. “So much goes on behind the scenes that nobody sees. The band has put together another successful, high-level performance this year, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.”

Congratulations to our students and everyone who supports the Hamilton High School band!
