
The day was filled with new friends, happy smiles, exciting discoveries, and the beginning of so many special memories. Our youngest Hawkeyes jumped right into learning, exploring, playing, and growing together—and we couldn’t be more excited for all that’s ahead!

A recent Hope College graduate, Mrs. Assink has already made a wonderful addition to the fifth-grade teaching team at Hamilton Middle School. She was drawn to Hamilton’s close-knit community and is excited to begin her teaching career as part of the Hawkeye family!

That was the focus of Thursday’s 8th grade welcome assembly in the Hamilton High School Auditorium. Staff reviewed building maps, explained important processes and answered questions to help students feel more comfortable in their new surroundings.

Our students and staff filled the building with smiles, excitement and plenty of Hawkeye pride. This year, we also welcomed our eighth graders to the high school as their temporary home while the middle school roof is replaced.
The Class of 2027 started its final first day together with Senior Sunrise before heading inside for the start of an unforgettable year.
From our eighth graders to our seniors, it was a wonderful first day at HHS. We have a feeling it’s going to be a great year!










Our 2026-27 All-Staff Welcome Back was filled with smiles, laughter, reconnections and, of course, a few decent jokes from Dr. Lusk!
It was the perfect way to begin a full day of learning and preparation as we get ready to welcome our students back on Wednesday. We can’t wait!

⭐ Choose Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
⭐ Children must be 3 years old—or at least 33 months with signed parent permission—by September 1
