On Saturday, October 1, the Hamilton community came together at the Hawkeye football stadium to cheer on athletes of all abilities.

The third annual Victory Day allowed over a dozen athletes to score a big touchdown on the field in front of hundreds in attendance!

Event organizer Mackenzie Brewer says she's thrilled with the community support.

"It is one of the all-inclusive events that a school could have where it incorporates the music program, the athletes, and then participants of all ability levels," Brewer smiled.

The cheerleading program once again assisted in helping different participants do chants and cheers. Senior Bailey Calderon has been a part of all three Victory Days and says it's one of her favorite days of the year.

"It's really bringing joy to all of us seeing the smiles on the kids faces and being able to unite the community and show them what we're all about."

Meanwhile, the varsity football program helps make it a true game feel for the athletes. From snapping the ball, taking a handoff, and running away from the defense, it's an amazing experience for all.

"We always look forward to this because these kids really love coming out here to do this," said senior football player, Brayden Geurink, "Being out here running offense and defense for them gives them the game feel, so we really love coming out here, it's a great time."
