For Chloe Rankins, the path to graduation wasn’t easy—but it was worth it.

“I was not mentally okay. I was struggling mentally and physically. I was not at my best,” Chloe shared. “If it weren’t for the CORE program, I would not have finished school.”

A member of the Class of 2025, Chloe’s journey looked different than she once expected. Facing personal challenges, she found herself unsure if graduation was even possible. But through Hamilton Community Schools’ CORE program, she found something powerful—a second chance.

“For me, it meant that I had a chance to finish,” she said. “I didn’t think I would make it this far.”

At first, Chloe admits she wasn’t sure what to expect. But once she became part of the program, her perspective quickly changed.

“They put my health first. They told me to take my time,” she said. “That’s when I realized they really did care—not just about my education, but about me and my future.”

With the support of staff and a community that believed in her, Chloe kept moving forward—step by step. And recently, she reached a moment she once thought might never come.

“I never thought I would be able to hold that diploma,” she said. “But I did.”

While her determination played a key role, Chloe is quick to point out that she didn’t do it alone.

“It wasn’t just me,” she said. “It was the people around me. The community helped me get here.”

Now, Chloe hopes her story can encourage others who may be facing similar struggles.

“If you’re struggling mentally or physically, if you think you can’t finish—you really can,” she said. “If you try and believe in yourself, you can do it. We all believe in you.”

Chloe’s journey is a powerful reminder that success doesn’t always follow a straight path—and that with the right support, perseverance, and belief, anything is possible.
