Unified Basketball is a Special Olympics–supported program that pairs students with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. The goal of the program is to provide meaningful athletic opportunities while promoting inclusion, cooperation, and mutual respect. Teams practice and compete together using adapted rules that emphasize participation, teamwork, and fair play.
At Hamilton High School, Unified Basketball is offered as a school-based athletic program during the winter season. Students serve as athletes and partners, working together in interscholastic games against other area schools. The program allows students to develop basketball skills while also building social connections within the school community.
Community members are welcome to attend games and support the student-athletes throughout the season!
