Blue Star Elementary students and staff lined the hallways with cheers, claps, and high-fives as part of a special “Walk of Fame” to honor the teams who worked tirelessly over the summer to prepare the building for the new school year.
The celebration recognized Hamilton Community Schools’ construction, facilities, and custodial staff — including Ashley Cooper, Keith Folkert, Cindy VanGoor, and Sarah Postmus — as well as the dedicated crew from Owen-Ames-Kimball.
This past summer, Blue Star underwent significant upgrades as part of the district’s bond projects. The work required countless hours of construction, cleaning, and coordination to ensure classrooms, hallways, and common spaces were safe, polished, and ready for students’ return.
