On Wednesday, July 13, fifteen students graduated from kindergarten readiness camp, hosted by Ready For School.

The move from pre-K to kindergarten is one of the most important transitions a child will make. Over the summer, Ready for School has been partnering with local school districts, including Hamilton, to deliver a kindergarten readiness camp with powerful results.

“Our learning camp experience is designed for outdoor exploration and learning,” said Amy Herrema of Hawkeye Preschool at Sandyview Elementary. “Every day is designed to engage children’s innate sense of wonder and natural curiosity as they explore the world around them.”

The program is taught by early childhood educators who bring fun to learning. These fifteen students will now be enrolling in kindergarten this fall at one of Hamilton Community Schools’ four elementary schools.

The students' graduation was capped with singing songs and sitting on the Sandyview Elementary lawn to enjoy a picnic with their families.
