Chris Poll was appointed to the Hamilton Board of Education on Monday, June 9. Poll replaces Carl Marshall who moved out of state and will fulfill the rest of the term, which ends in 2026.

1) Why did you want to run for the Hamilton Board of Education?
To support all of our kids in the community. Also to help with assisting them in any way we can to lead them to a career they will enjoy.
2) What particular experiences or skills have prepared you to serve as a board member?
I have spent 15 years in both sales and service. Developing relationships with customers and working through problems. In that time I have learned many ways to address issues and resolve them through training and communication. In the last 10 years I have learned business skills in how to run a business and grow it slowly with increasing personnel.
3) In what school district or community activities/organizations have you been involved in?
I have been involved in multiple Hamilton community programs. I am currently on our church's local mission team and security team. I also have served as the Vice President of the Hamilton Rod and Gun club.
4) What do you wish to accomplish on the board?
As a member of the board I wish to accomplish continuing the progress the board has previously made in developing appropriate curriculum and advancing career training courses through the school system. In addition I hope to create a strategic approach to the future of the Hamilton school system.
5) Is there any other information you would like to share with the community about yourself?
