Hamilton High School has once again earned a place on the U.S. News & World Report list of Best High Schools in Michigan and the nation, highlighting the strength of the Hawkeye community and its commitment to student success.
In the 2025 rankings, Hamilton High School was placed among the top 5,000 high schools nationally. While the numbers alone don’t tell the full story, the recognition reflects the dedication of Hamilton’s students, teachers, and staff.
According to U.S. News & World Report, rankings are based on multiple factors that measure both academic achievement and preparation for life beyond high school. These include:
State assessment performance and how well students perform compared to expectations.
College readiness, measured by participation and success in Advanced Placement (AP) or college-level courses.
Graduation rates, ensuring students are prepared to move forward with their futures.
Equity and performance among underserved student groups, highlighting schools that create opportunities for all learners.
Hamilton High School’s placement on this list underscores the district’s focus on preparing students for college, careers, and life, while also providing opportunities for them to grow as leaders and community members.
“Being recognized by U.S. News & World Report is a reflection of the incredible work happening in our classrooms every day,” said principal, Mr. Mitch Bosch. “We’re proud of our students for rising to the challenge, and we’re grateful for the dedication of our teachers and the support of our entire Hawkeye community.”
This recognition marks yet another milestone for Hamilton High School, affirming its place among Michigan’s best schools and showcasing the values of excellence, growth, and pride that define the Hawkeye experience.
