Hamilton Middle School has once again been recognized among the top middle schools in Michigan by U.S. News & World Report, continuing a steady climb in the annual rankings. For the 2024-25 school year, Hamilton Middle School is ranked 144th in the state of Michigan—another impressive accomplishment considering there are more than 1,000 public middle schools statewide.
Each year, U.S. News & World Report evaluates schools across the country using data from the U.S. Department of Education and state education departments. Rankings are based on factors such as student performance on state assessments, equity among student groups, and student-to-teacher ratios.
The school continues to perform well above state averages, scoring 19% higher than the state average in math proficiency and 15% higher in reading.
