After 16 years of care and unwavering dedication, Hamilton Elementary is saying goodbye to one of its most beloved staples — secretary Kim Sale — who is retiring at the end of this school year.
Sale’s roots in Hamilton run deep. A proud Hamilton native, Kim attended Hamilton Elementary herself, as did her siblings, her own children, and even her father. “It’s in my blood,” she said tearfully in a heartfelt retirement video. “It just feels like home.”
Kim began her career at Hamilton as a paraprofessional but quickly found her calling in the front office, where she’s spent the past decade juggling phone calls, supporting staff, greeting students, and serving as the heartbeat of the school.
“I love this job more than anything in the world,” she said. “It doesn’t even feel like a job — I get to go to school every day.”
Beyond her administrative duties, Kim leaves a legacy defined by connection. She became a steady, supportive presence for families, often comforting those going through tough times. “I want our students and families to feel seen, supported, and know their story matters,” she shared.
While the thought of missing the back-to-school rush this fall brings emotion, Kim is embracing her next chapter — spending time with her granddaughter and cherishing the joys of family. Congratulations, Kim!
