Hamilton High School’s Matt Oonk has been named the Division 3 Boys Swim Coach of the Year by the Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (MISCA) — a well-deserved honor after leading the Hawkeyes through a historic season.
Under Oonk’s leadership, the boys' swim and dive team earned a 5th place finish at the Division 3 State Meet, making them one of the top programs in Michigan. The Hawkeyes delivered 17 All-State performances, set a new school record, and dropped time across the board in one of the program’s most memorable postseason runs to date.
