Hamilton High School opens the 2024-2025 season by presenting A Night of One Acts ‘24. This production features multiple one-act plays presented in a close up 3/4 round staging.

Thursday and Friday, November 7 and 8 performances start at 7pm. On Saturday, November 9, a matinee performance will start at 2pm.

Comedy levels go into overdrive as we open the night with Ian McWethy’s Bad Auditions by Bad Actors. A casting director has one day to find the leads for a community theater production of Romeo and Juliet. But what seems like a simple task proves impossible when the pool of actors includes extreme method actors, performers who just don’t know what to do with their hands, and one particular woman who may or may not think she’s a cat. This hilarious comedy will bring you to the last place you’d ever want to be…behind the doors of a casting session.

It's senior year in Bradley Hayward’s Selfie and problems are mounting for a group of high school students as they prepare for the future. Facing bullies, parents, pressure, sickness, and their own self-judgment, the characters search for ways to stand out. As they document their year, one click at a time, they come to realize life is not about what other people see – it’s about thepictures they have of themselves.

After a short intermission, we close the night with E.M. Bell’s 10 Reasons You Should Have Stayed Home Sick Today. Nostalgic for your high school days? Then you haven’t been there lately. Take a tour of high school’s everyday horrors, from the dreaded surprise test to the battle for a bus seat, courtesy of an ensemble of students who play everyone from the tone-deaf choir kid to the teacher who talks at a snail’s pace. Yeah, you’re definitely gonna wish you took a sick day.

Audiences of all ages will enjoy this entertaining night of theatre! Tickets Prices: $9 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.
