Hamilton High School teacher Mr. Travis Pertner has never been lacking on ability to make connection with students. However, the past couple of school years, he has been going above and beyond. Every Tuesday and Friday during the school year, Mr. Pertner welcomes students to eat lunch with him.
"I feel as if kids these days are missing a lot of genuine connection with one another and staff," Pertner said.
Pertner typically has a 'theme' for the lunch period including an overall life lesson and stories but also allows for the students to discuss any happenings in their life or personal stories.
