The monthly mobile food pantry put on by our OCSN Coordinators and Feeding America West Michigan saw more success on Monday, October 24.
Statistics of those helped:
272 individuals
112 children
80 households
53 seniors
9 veterans
The Ottawa Community Schools Network (OCSN) Coordinators would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our community partners who made this food distribution possible.
In addition to Feeding America West Michigan, who provides our monthly distribution food which includes things like potatoes, carrots, apples, fresh produce, and juice, Hungry for Christ also provided frozen protein boxes for families which included soup, hot dogs, maple turkey breast, creamy basil chicken & rice entrees and uncrushable sandwiches.
Haven Church provided free dog and cat food, and an anonymous donor provided shampoo/conditioner and hand sanitizer. It is through the partnership with Ottawa Community Schools Network and all of these organizations listed that we are able to help those who are food insecure in our community.
And a HUGE thank you to all of the volunteeers who made this possible, including groups from Haven Church, Corner Bible Church, Hungry for Christ, and Hamilton Community Schools.
