For the second consecutive year, the teachers at Sandyview Elementary are getting creative to help prepare their students for what can be an intimidating MSTEP (Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress).

However, the prep day put on by Mrs. Kim Gluper and Mrs. Lisa Schreur is created to help calm the nerves of the students while making it more of a fun challenge. This year's theme was an Aloha Luau with leis and other decorations in the classroom as well as soft Hawaiian music. Third and fourth grade students were partnered together to solve different work sheets focusing on math and ELA.

"We're doing this as an undercover MSTEP prep," said Mrs. Glupker, "The students were partnered up to help each other in their problem solving. It's a really fun way to lessen the stress for next week's test."
