Scholarships

Community Choice Foundation – grade 12 – minimum 3.00 GPA, have a strong record of Giving Big to the community through volunteerism or public service, plan to attend a 2-yr. or 4-yr. college in Michigan, desire to live and work in Michigan after college graduation – see Mrs. Safford in the Student Services Office for more information or go to michiganscholarship.com – deadline: submit online by February 28, 2020

Consumers Credit Union – grade 12 – must have an active Consumers Credit Union account, minimum 2.5 GPA, based on academic achievement, community service, and an essay (“If you were to develop a Mt. Rushmore representing the 21st century, whose faces would you select, and why”) – deadline: submitted by March 1, 2020

Quest Bridge College Prep Scholars Program – grade 11 - academically outstanding high school juniors from families earning less than $65,000/year for a family of four, this program equips high-achieving high school juniors from low-income backgrounds with the knowledge, confidence, and resources to apply to top colleges; students will receive exclusive awards and opportunities to develop a strong college application that shares their unique story; awards may include scholarships to summer programs at Stanford, Yale, Notre Dame, & more, feedback on college essays, college admissions conferences) - www.questbridge.org/high-school-students - deadline: apply by March 24, 2020

Kelsey’s Law Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship – grades 11, 12 - submit a persuasive message that shows how you would convince young drivers to reduce distractions while driving (messages may be in the form of a video, graphic, or Tweet that resonates with teens and influences their driving behavior) - www.michiganautolaw.com/scholarships/kelseys-law/ - deadline: submit by March 31, 2020

Allegan County Agricultural Society – grade 12 – must have been involved in the Allegan County Fair as an exhibitor for three out of four of your high school years, and plan to pursue a post-secondary education – see Mrs. Safford in the Student Services Office for an application or go to www.allegancountyfair.com - deadline: submitted by April 1, 2020

 

College Opportunities

West Michigan College Fair – grades 9-12 - at DeVos Place Conference Center in Grand Rapids - Thursday, April 16, 2020 from 8:30 am – 11:30 am or 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – over 150 colleges will be in attendance; breakout sessions on Essay Writing, The College Process, Scholarships and Financial Aid, and a College Selection Student Panel - register at gotomyncf.com
