Scholarships

Holland Optimist Club International Essay Contest – grades 9-12 (must be under 19) – 700-800 word essay on the topic: “Is Optimism The Key To Achieving The Dreams You Imagine?” – see Mrs. Safford in the Student Services Office for an application - deadline: submitted/postmarked by January 31, 2020

Community Foundation of Holland/Zeeland – grade 12 – several great scholarships available to Hamilton students – http://cfhz.org/Scholarships - deadline:  February 14 (Haworth Skilled Trades scholarship), March 1 for the others

Allegan County Community Foundation – grade 12 – several great scholarships available to Hamilton students  – alleganfoundation.org/scholarships - deadline: deadlines vary (first deadline is February 14)

Rosa Parks Scholarship Foundation – grade 12 – based on scholarship, leadership, financial need, and dedication to the Civil Rights principles of Rosa Parks  - rosaparksscholarship.org – deadline: submitted by March 1, 2020

Joyce Ivy Summer Scholars Program – 10th and 11th grade girls – provides scholarships for talented, high-achieving young women from the Midwest to participate in academic summer programs at some of the country’s top colleges - joyceivyfoundation.org/summer-scholars.html – Deadline: submitted by March 1, 2020

Mary Jane Dockery Scholarship  - grade 12 – plan to pursue a career in Science at a 2-yr. or 4-yr. college – based on academic achievements and potential for succeeding in a career in Science – www.gvsu.edu/rmsc/mjd - deadline: received by March 30, 2020

Michigan Retailers Association – grade 12 – student or parent must be employed at a business that is a member of MRA (check with the employer or contact Rachel Schrauben at 800-366-3699 or rschrauben@retailers.com to find out if your business is eligible) – bit.ly/MRAscholarship2020 (MRA must be capitalized) – Deadline: submitted by April 1, 2020

Diabetes Scholars – grade 12 – student has Type 1 Diabetes, plans to attend college, technical, or trade school – based on activities, grades, volunteering, advocacy, leadership, essays, and recommendations - https://diabetesscholars.org/college-scholarship/ - due by April 15, 2020
